A planned community on a small island with 850 homes and approximately 1800 residents...Lido Isle! In 1923 the island was purchased for $45,000. Today some residents of Lido Isle pay more than that for property taxes.
This community was the first master planned community in California. The streets are named after Mediterranean cities which matches the theme of the architecture. Cape Cod and modern style homes can also be found on the island. In the center of the island is the Lido Isle Club House and Yacht Club. With a mission to educate young sailors and provide activities for the residents, The Club House and Yacht Club has become a central gathering place for social events.
